These terms apply when you book an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) assessment with Singh EPCs. By booking, you agree to them.
Singh EPCs is a domestic energy assessor business serving the West Midlands, accredited by Quidos. Contact: mahaanss11@gmail.com, or WhatsApp through the button on this site.
I will visit the property, survey it, produce an EPC and lodge it on the national EPC register. You will receive a PDF copy by email. The service currently covers domestic properties. Commercial EPCs are not yet offered.
Prices for a domestic EPC start at £50 and increase with the size and complexity of the property. Prices on this website are starting prices and can change. I will give you a clear quote before you book, and the price I quote is the price you pay, with no hidden fees. Payment terms will be confirmed when you book. I will issue the certificate once payment is received, unless we have agreed otherwise.
You must make sure I can access every part of the property I need to assess, including the loft, heating system and controls. You must also give accurate information and any documents you have about insulation, windows and heating upgrades. If I cannot access an area or you cannot supply evidence, I must record the property using default assumptions, which can lead to a lower rating. I am not responsible for a rating affected by missing access or information.
I aim to deliver your certificate within 48 hours of the visit. This is a target rather than a guarantee, and it may take longer where I am waiting for information from you or where there are delays outside my control.
Please give as much notice as you can if you need to change or cancel a visit. If I arrive and cannot carry out the assessment because nobody is present or access is not available, I may charge for the wasted visit.
EPC ratings follow a set government methodology and I cannot choose or promise a particular rating. If you believe there is an error in your certificate, contact me and I will review it. Corrections to genuine mistakes are made at no extra charge.
Each EPC includes recommendations for improving the property. They are general guidance and not a detailed design or a quote for works.
I carry professional indemnity insurance appropriate to this work. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, my liability to you in connection with an EPC is limited to the fee you paid for it.
How I handle your personal information is set out in my Privacy Policy.
If you are unhappy with the service, please email me first so I can put it right. If we cannot resolve it, you can raise a complaint with my accreditation scheme, Quidos.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute.
